Closing Out the Year with Boss Women Media: Recap of Our Year

Hey Girl Hey! 2019 has been an amazing and fruitful year for Boss Women Media. BWM connected with so many different women from so many different walks of life. We empowered women to be brave and strong, and to simply stand up for what they believed in. We encouraged women to go after their dream careers and propelled them forward. Boss Women Media refused to be average and didn’t let fear win.

First-Ever Black Girl Magic 5 City Tour

We threw our first-ever five city black girl magic tour the first half of 2019. Touring cities that included New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Houston, and our home Dallas we focused on connecting, engaging, and informing women around key topics surrounding entrepreneurship, side hustling, and tools and resources needed as a modern day working woman. Each city had a panelist of speakers, which included Ahyiana Angel, Jade Kendle, Mattie James, Courtney Brand, and Denee Baptiste to name a few. Bosses Connect Summer Happy Hour Series

This summer we connected with our boss women tribe on Dallas’ hottest rooftops with cocktails and good eats! We mixed and mingled with like minded boss women with an evening of creative conversations which included millennial entrepreneurs, creators + women who are always thinking big! BWM gifted each guest their own #werkbag which included a Boss Women Media tee and a #goalgetter guide. I think it’s safe to say, this was one of our favs! 2019 Boss Women of the Year

For the third year in a row, we highlighted Boss Women with our annual Boss Women of the Year Summit with 475+ women. The event honored women who are masters of their field. Women who have paved new roads. The ones who have brought other women along the way and put in the work. Women who saw a ceiling and paid it no mind. They are Founders, CEOs, Corporate Queens, Boss Moms and Legends. They are women to aspire from, be empowered through and just all the #goals you desire in your life! We conducted panels & had great conversation with the brightest women in the biz, that are killing the game with unforgettable experiences, cocktail happy hour with our speakers, networking with #bosswomen and non-stop empowerment and motivation to take your career to the next level!

Women Supporting Women Evening Event

For the first time ever, we hosted our first-ever Women Supporting Women’s Evening Event during National Entrepreneurship Month. It was an evening of conversation with CEO + Founder of Boss Women Media, Marty McDonald, and a Sr. Buyer from Sally Beauty. Guests shopped the female-founded marketplace, enjoyed cocktails, recevied complimentary manis and pedis, and snapped lots of pics! The first 200 women also received a Boss SWAG bag by Sally Beauty. 2019 has definitely been an unforgettable and fulfilling year for Boss Women Media. We’re so excited to break out 2020 with full force, with all Boss Women at the forefront.
