4 Tips to Make Your Business Stand Out to Win Some Smoney Presented by The Riveter

In a world that’s constantly in competition, sometimes it can be difficult to set yourself a part from everyone else. Trying to prove that your business is better than the next is something that many companies are constantly trying to do. Difficult? Yes—but not impossible.

At the Riveter, we believe in standing out, and standing firm in what your brand represents. With that being said, we want to help you win some big bucks for your business. We’re giving you four tips to make your business stand out to win some smoney at this year’s Boss Women of the Year’s 2019 Pitch Competition. Besides, who doesn’t like free money?!

Check out some ways to make your business stand out and land the big bucks below Presented by The Riveter.

  1. Establish what makes you different from your competition

You have to keep in mind that more than likely, you aren’t the first business of your kind in your industry. You need to establish what sets you apart from the rest of the thousands of businesses within your industry. Is it the services you offer, the culture of your company, how you interact with your target audience, or the overall organization of your company.  Whatever it is, you want to make sure it’s obvious that your competition simply cannot compete. Establishing the difference between you and the next business will instantly make you stand out from everyone else.

  1. Offer something new and unique

Be prepared to showcase how your business is new and unique. What does your business currently do that no other business in your industry has done or is doing? Offering a new and unique service within your business for sure allows you to stand out from the rest of the crowd.

  1. Have an eye-catching logo or slogan

The slogan and logo you decide to associate with your business says a lot—it’s somewhat the voice of your entire brand. Like most brands with credibility, we can immediately associate their logo and slogan with their brand. Nike’s infamous swish logo and “just do it” slogan, McDonald’s golden arch logo and “I’m lovin’ it,” slogan and Cocoa-Cola’s slogan, “open happiness.” Brand association is so vital and important, and if you establish an eye-catching and memorable logo and slogan for your business, you’ve instantly made your brand that more credible and unforgettable.

  1. Make sure you know your business like the back of your hand

Knowing your business like the back of your hand makes all the difference. If you can prove to the judges that you are aware of what your brand is, why your brand is, what your brand does, and who your brand is for—you will undeniably stand out. It makes a difference when you truly know your business, and it doesn’t seem as if you’re reading from a script.

Being able to stand out in a crowd of competitors is no easy feat, but with the incorporation of these four tips, you are sure to grab the judge’s attention and have your competition  wondering just how you did it!

Don’t forget to sign up for this year’s pitch competition for your chance to win $5,000 sponsored by The Riveter and The Dallas Mavericks.

* You must purchase a BWOTY ticket before signing up for the pitch contest.
