100 Women Sitting at the Table celebrates powerhouse women dominating in their industries on International Women’s Day

Boss Women Media highlighted women from all over the world this past weekend in a year-long multifaceted campaign, 100 Women Sitting at the Table. In partnership with Capital One and American Airlines, the event took place at the C.R. Smith Flight Museum with nearly 120 women—all sharing their untold stories as they create pathways for others.

100 Women Sitting at the Table featured women from various industries including, Monique Rodriguez CEO and Founder of Mielle Organics, Suzette Robotham, Diversity and Inclusion at Google, Jolorie Williams, VP of Crème of Nature, Marilee Fiebig Holmes, Chief of Staff at Roc Nation, and Alechia Reese, author of award winning book Eating Elephants to name a few.

The event included on-site makeup artists, private dressing rooms, and unlimited champagne for the ladies to indulge in throughout the day.

Women were given the opportunity to tell their untold stories in the video booth, as well as receive a personalized makeup bag with their names calligraphed on them thanks to H&M and a watch from Fossil as they were deemed women to watch within their industries.

Due to March being the official month for Women’s History, Boss Women Media intentionally celebrated these powerhouse women in March on International Women’s Day. Hosted by Dallas’ very own Lady Jade, the women honored at this event fully exemplified what it means to be a powerful woman dominating in their industry.

“100 Women Sitting at the Table is an experience to highlight the untold stories of women creating pathways for others, and changing generations to come,” said Marty McDonald, Founder and CEO of Boss Women Media.

The day consisted of a buffet style brunch, a keynote conversation with the President of Capital One Canada, Jennifer R. Jackson, a self-love exercise conducted by Yolanda White of Dayo Women, where the women wrote down things they loved about themselves, things they wished they could do more for themselves, and making commitments to do things to love themselves a little more.

The women also participated in an activity where they wrote down ways they were “breaking glass ceilings” in their industries, and threw those pieces of glass into clear containers in symbolizing what it meant to break glass ceilings.

“Our goal with 100 Women Sitting at the Table and Boss Women Media is to connect women who are grinding in the boardroom or creating brands with like-minded women,” said Marty McDonald.
