If you’ve been following along with all of our Home Hustlers news and updates, then you know we’re bringing you another recap of our 4-week educational digital event series where we call on all side hustlers, idea creators and innovators that want to take their idea to the next level! Each week we prepare a panel of experts in their careers to help guide and inform our audience through virtual workshops and pep talks they need to know to turn their passions into profit to help them scale their own business.
Home Hustlers Week 3 Recap
Week 3 of Home Hustlers brought us so many good gems on what it means to scale your business. Our attendees learned the ins and outs of outsourcing, improving their workflows and becoming the boss they’ve always wanted to be. Of course no Boss Women Media event is complete without an amazing and influential panel of experts in industries that showcase just what it means to be a hustler.
The Stack Your Coin panel featured Letitia Hanke CEO and President of ARS Roofing, Gutters & Solar, Inc., Danyel Surrency-Jones Co-Founder and CEO of Powerhandz, Karleen Roy CEO of The Vanity Group and Lauren Maillian CEO of Digital Undivided. Saturday’s Home Hustlers series began with a Mindfulness session with Elizabeth Nicole Ferguson where she aligned our attendees with positive thoughts and feelings before the start of the panel and workshop. Karleen Roy opened the conversation but stating that one thing that’s important for her brand and business are the coins, “If it don’t make dollars, it don’t make sense.” How many of us have heard this saying over and over again? Sis it’s definitely facts—as a business owner, one reason you go into the business and industry is for the money. If you aren’t generating money, then your business plan isn’t making sense!
Lauren Maillian also reminds our attendees that you must “understand the company you are and what you have to offer.” Your company is a big asset to who you are as an individual, remember to always appreciate and never underestimate who you are and how powerful and influential you can be. When it comes to your audience, Danyel says you want to make sure you’re “serving and not selling” because the selling will come with it, if you learn how to serve your target audience first. Letitia brought it back full circle when she reminded us all that you must “write down your goals and look at them every single day,” as this will help you visualize exactly what it is that you want.
Of course we had DJ Tazia Alexa and Lady Jade turn us up with a mini dance break as we began to wrap up Week 3’s session. Naomi Wheeless, Global Head of Customer Success at Square led our workshop where she gave our attendees expert hands-on advice to help them stack their coin.
